One of our couples this year, Jen & Peter, recently had some exciting news to share. They are opening a new addition to their already very successful restaurant Sip Resto Lounge on Granville St called the Refinery. It's a beautifully designed wine and cheese inspired restaurant where you can come and enjoy samplings of some of the finest foods from around the world. I particularly LOVED the goat cheese cheesecake. It's a dessert created by one of their own and it boasts a rich creamy texture topped with crunchy caramel and almond crumbles and served beautifully garnished with an Italian sour cherry sauce which absolutely makes the dish and tastes like nothing you've ever had before! I would highly recommend you go and enjoy a lovely evening out and bring a friend as there are some great dishes to share!

Hey Everyone! We're so excited to be leaving for Mexico in a few days to shoot a wedding at the stunning Gran Bahia Principe Akumel Resort in the Mayan Riviera, a beautiful 5-star resort right on the Caribbean Ocean. We will be staying for a week and will be offering destination portrait sessions so if you know anyone who will be there in the area or would like to come down, send us an email and let us know, we're looking forward to capturing all the beautiful sunshine and warmth to last us through the winter!

Party time Croatian style!
These guys know how to have a good time. With all the wine, dancing and entertainment you could not help but thoroughly enjoying Nina and Zucko's wedding. Everything started off with an emotional morning with Nina's family. Her mother looked so proud as her daughter stood in front of the mirror fixing the final touches on her stunning Lazaro gown. We then headed off to the church for a beautiful ceremony and then off to Gastown where a music performer serenaded the new couple right on the streets. All in all, it was a great wedding filled with good times had by all.

Well, these guys are just too cute not to post. During the engagement shoot, Joel and Kortni were standing beside on the beach and Joel wanted to have a little fun but almost dropped Kortni in the freezing cold water!! He then proceeded to almost drop her again on the dance floor at the wedding! they were laughing so hard, I thought we were going to have a repeat of the beach. We were so blessed to get to know these two better and wish them all the success that life has to offer. A few teasers for those of you who are waiting with anticipation.

Our very chic couple from Richmond decided to have their shoot out at beautiful UBC. It's funny, I've lived here most of my life and have driven by the University many times but it's amazing to see how much you notice when you take the time to stroll throught the place and discover many amazing locations and sights. We had such a great time with these two dodging the rain and taking in some great views of the city. You can’t let a little rain stop you from enjoying yourself. We’re really looking forward to their wedding next year. I hope you enjoy today’s pics.

Jason and I were delighted to meet this beautiful couple with only a few months before their big day. They were a last minute booking but I'm glad we did as we had a great time with these two. You couldn't have asked for a better day, everything was running smoothly and to top it all off we had some amazing weather which only to their already perfect day! It was a very relaxed day. first, we started with some photos at the Vancouver Library and then headed to a friend's house where we were greeted by 3 very cute little girls in their puffy white dresses and one little handsome man sporting a tiny tux with some stylish converse runners. All in all, it was a fun day filled with lots of laughs, playing with the kids and ended with a rockin' reception where their grandmother, in her 90's, was groovin' away on the dance floor! Thank you both so much, Sarah and Steve, for letting us be apart of your day. We had a great time with you and your family and we hope your day was all you'd dreamed it would be!

Wow, I just got introduced to one amazing site, Rouxbe, an online video cookbook! How cool is that! If you're like me, who knows little to nothing about cooking besides knowing how to make cereal, toast and eggs and would like to be able to cook AND have the desire to cook, than you'll LOVE this site!!! For me I get a little lost when looking at cookbooks where there are no pictures and nothing to show you what the dish is supposed to look like. Being a visual learning person, this site will actually SHOW you how to cook and prepare everything you need for the dish and I must admit, it's very fun to watch but most of all it inspires me to actually WANT to do it! There is a free video demo to see what it's all about and then if you would like to see the recipe all you have to do is sign up, which is free and it's off to the kitchen!
