Beckhem

Sunday evening was our good friend's birthday. We had a big gathering at their beautiful house in Abbotsford and her sister was their with their beautiful baby boy, Beckhem. His dad was a professional model and I think the genes got passed down! He's teathing right now so we had a lot of cute shots. The light was shining through one of the patio windows from the setting sun and spilling onto the deep mahogany wood floor. The light was warm and very easy to work with. I knew I had just a little bit of time left before the sun was gone so I asked if they could bring Beckhem over and sit him on the floor and he did the rest!

Baby Ella

Just recently, a couple of our friends, Joel and Naomi, had their first baby. She is one of the cutest babies I have ever seen. She's so tiny and has such a pretty little face! Her name is Ella and I just wanted to show everyone how cute she is and how very photogenic! We might have a future model! Thanks guys for letting me go shutter crazy with your baby.

Brandi Lee+Chris

These guys were troopers! We battled ugly rain, wind and chilly temperatures and still came out with some great photos. Brandi-Lee and Chris are some great friends of ours and we were honoured to be apart of their big day. In the morning we shot a couple of glam poses and just had fun with the girls as they got ready. We did a few fun shots with the fish-eye and had some great late afternoon lighting from the building where we went for the outdoor shoot. The reception was a blast as it was filled with musical skits, great speeches and some hoppin' dancing with DJ JeffX. We had great success even though we did not have the best of conditions weather-wise. God Bless you B+Chris in your new life together and can't wait to show you the photos!!

White Rock

When Jason and I first got married, we spent a lot of time in White Rock. There's a place close to where his parents live where you can go right down to the waterfront in a secluded area. We went to take a walk down there last week and decided to take the cameras along. These were some of the shots that were taken while experimenting with the tungsten setting. It can be quite the dramatic effect when combined with the right scenery. The picture of the skyline, even though it looks like a night shot it was actually taken around 2pm in the afternoon. We just underexposed the shot and it gave it quite the dramatic effect.

2007 LifeWomen Conference

This year I was honoured to be apart of the Life Women Conference promotion. We had a great time doing the photo shoot for this one. The theme this year is BraveHeart. Ashley was our model and she did a great job! The LifeWomen conference is a 3 day conference held at Victory Christian Centre in Surrey and is going to be held on May 10-12. It's all about building up women and encouraging them to live life with a passion and to be an example to the world around us.
