Lephuong & Raymond

Lephuong and Raymond were so much fun to shoot. They were so willing to do whatever we asked them and as a result, the images turned out stunning! We're so excited to be shooting their wedding which is coming up next week. They flew in from Toronto to have their event up on top of gorgeous Grouse Mountain where they'll have a beautiful view overlooking Vancouver. So stay tuned for more from these two in just a little bit.

Cheers,

Black & White and... Betsy Johnson!

Talk about amazing details! We were honoured again to shoot at the gorgeous Hart House to capture the wedding nuptials of Liz and Tim. I was so excited to see the decor as Liz is an interior designer and I knew she had put her whole heart and soul into every detail. Many of the feather and crystal details were hand-made by her and everything pulled together to make an elegant feast for the eyes. Then, there were the shoes....Liz graced through the day in a stunning pair of Betsy Johnsons!!! Her dress was a custom-made gown which she designed and with all of her gorgeous details Liz was quite the sight and I know Tim was amazed when he saw her for the first time! Here's some of the beautiful details from their wedding along with a few of our favs. Enjoy!

Girls and Love

Cherryll & Paul had an absolutely beautiful day for their wedding. Not too hot, not too cold, it was just right. There was one photo I just had to post because it spoke so much about how little girls fall in love with weddings when they get their first look at a bride and seeing the excitement of it all. This little girl had come into the salon with her mother and kept coming over to where Cherryll was getting her make-up done and would say to her "pretty!". It was the cutest thing in the world and I just love to see how children react to all of the smiles and excitement of the day. Here's a few of our other favourites from the shoot. You guys looked stunning and we had so much fun with you both!!!
Cheers,
Jas & Jason

Kickin' it Westcoast Style (wet & raining!)

Jennifer and Peter really knew how to celebrate and enjoy their big day with their closest family and friends. Their day started out a little on the wet side but we were able to tough it out and get some great shots around Vancouver. We then headed out to Burnaby Lake park at the Hart House where thankfully, it stopped raining and we were able to have a little bit of fun before going in to start the party. Every detail, from the shoes to the guest favours, everything had their special creative and personal touch. We always enjoy photographing a couple that truly appreciates the art of what we do and will allow us to do what we do best! Hope you guys are having a blast and thanks for the yummy sandwiches at Sip! Here are some of our favourites!

East to West and back again!

We had the pleasure of shooting Sarv's sister, Lida last summer and now it was her turn. I was so excited when I heard that Sarv was engaged because we had such a great time with her and her family last year that I hoped we could work with them again, and we did! Sarv and Raj had a double ceremony both to honour each others heritage. Sarv dressed in traditional white for the Persian ceremony, which is always a colourful event with the beautiful spread that her mother and family put together for them with each item representing a unique virtue and blessing for the new couple. The following week it was time for the Indian ceremony which I must say, Sarv was quite the trooper. Her traditional gown, which was the most intricately decorated gown I had ever seen, weighed 16 POUNDS!!!! No joke! I actually held only a portion of her elaborately beaded veil which probably weighed 8 pounds just by itself. Try carrying the equivalent of a watermelon on your head for a whole day! All in all, both bride and groom looked absolutely stunning and we finished off the day with their photo shoot in Coal Harbor where everyone was stopping them to comment on how beautiful they both looked. Congrats Sarv and Raj! Here's just a few of the many great shots from the day!

Honour Guard at Hycroft

When I met Jennifer she was working with the RCMP and her fiance was an officer. Since then, Jennifer has gone through much training and had a rough winter ordeal in Saskatchewan but now she is an official RCMP officer and joins her new husband in the force. they had a beautiful wedding ceremony at Hycroft Manor, complete with a 6 man honour guard to decorate the celebration. Patrick looked quite striking in his RCMP uniform and people were stopping to ask for photos with him as we were out doing our portrait shoot in Coal Harbour. Jenn even wore a beautiful necklace from Tiffany's with a pendant in the shape of a "P" for Patrick. Jason and I had a wonderful time with them and we can't wait to show you the rest of the photos but for now, here's just a peek!

Some E-Harmony on our E-Session

It was a pleasure to first meet Christina and Justin. They were all smiles and full of life and in love. To our excitement, we later found out that they had met on e-harmony, hit it off and now they're getting married! Well, of course we had to throw in the idea of incorporating that somehow into their unique story so Christina had the idea of doing a few shots with their laptops to commemorate how they met. I thought it was the cutest thing in the world and then I see the HOT pink laptop that Christina had and that just made the shot, how much more can you depict "boy meets girl"? Here's a few of our favs and I know they've been waiting to see them so without further ado...
